Summary

This role provides administrative and project support through scheduling, documentation, data entry, and assisting with reports, presentations, and technical processes. It also involves coordinating communication with stakeholders, learning team tools and systems, and developing professionally while prioritizing tasks and adapting to guidance. 

The student intern will work daily scheduled hours based on the department’s needs, with a minimum requirement of 15 hours and up to 40 hours per week maximum.

What You'll Do

Administrative Support

  • Schedule meetings, take notes, and manage documentation.
  • Assist with data entry, filing, and organizing digital assets.

Project Assistance

  • Contribute to ongoing projects by preparing reports or presentations and summaries.

Technical Support

  • Assist in testing, troubleshooting, or documenting technical processes and proposed improvements.

Communication
•    Coordinate with team members, internal and external stakeholders.
•    Draft emails, memos, or summaries as needed.

Learning & Development

  • Attend team meetings, training sessions, and shadow professionals.
  • Ask questions and seek feedback to grow professionally.

Tool & System Usage

  • Learn and use internal tools, software, and systems relevant to the team's work.
  • Maintain and update Work Management System/Tools.

Previous Knowledge/Experience

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and multitask.
  • Not required but preferred, experience in AutoCAD, AUD and Utility Scale Distribution Electrical Systems
  • Take direction and guidance.

Experience

To be eligible for SRP's year-round Intern Program, students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 college credits in the Fall and Spring Semesters.  Student interns are expected to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, but up to 40 hours are available if school schedule can accommodate. Must be able to work 2 days per week at our Corporate Headquarters in Tempe.

Education

College level coursework (100+) from an accredited institution will be evaluated on an individual basis according to the skill/level to determine if applicable to the position by management.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
