Their work is critical: They design, implement and maintain technology solutions that help us deliver water, power and related information services reliably and securely. And, many IT jobs at SRP support a hybrid work environment with two days a week in the office and remaining scheduled days worked from home.

Their work is critical: They design, implement and maintain technology solutions that help us deliver water, power and related information services reliably and securely. And, many IT jobs at SRP support a hybrid work environment with two days a week in the office and remaining scheduled days worked from home. 

These important roles require a bachelor’s degree. Associate-level hires require one to two years of experience; mid-level hires require two to five years of experience; and senior-level hires require five-plus years of experience.  

Additional qualifications by role type currently include: 

  • Software Development – Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and Object-Oriented Design. 
  • Cybersecurity – Familiarity with industry regulations, frameworks and best practices related to cybersecurity. DoD 8570 Certifications (e.g., CISSP/CISA/CISM/GSEC) are strongly preferred
  • Data Analytics – Skilled in data visualization, business analytics, business intelligence or data warehousing. Knowledge of SQL (HiveQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, etc.) to write complex, highly-optimized queries across large volumes of data.  
  • Network Engineering – Knowledge of network routing, switching, wireless networking, communications protocols, OSI model and experience in designing, deploying and supporting an enterprise network.  
  • Database Management – Perform SQL Server software installations, patching and upgrades. Install and support SQL Server BI components including SSIS, SSRS and SSAS. Database Administrator SQL - SQL Server DBA, SQL Server 2014-2019 environments.  
  • IT Project Management – Experience managing total project in value between $2 million and $10 million.  
  • IT Operations – Responsible for first- and second-level problem determination. Understands the interconnectivity of the software, network and IT systems.
  • Technical Support – First-level remote support for SRP clients through incidents and requests. Supports ticketing system, ServiceNow, ITSM management platform. Problem-solve hardware component issues for desktops, laptops, Androids and iPhones. 
  • Desktop Management Specialist – Responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution of workstation equipment and application software. Requires frequent travel to all SRP sites. 

 

SRP uses a wide array of software platforms that are primarily Microsoft-based. Knowledge of Agile and scrum methodologies is preferred. Additional qualifications across various roles could include knowledge of: C#, .NET, Angular, SQL, Linq, ASP.Net Web API, MVC and Blazor, Microsoft Dynamics 365/PowerApps; SQL Serve, Identity and Access Management tools; CASB, IGA, IDaaS, IaaS, SaaS, MFA, Entitlement Management, Federation, SSO, SAML, OAuth, ITIL, ERP/SAP Security, Scripting, LDAP structures and support, Power BI, Tableau, SAP Web Intelligence or equivalent tool; Data center technologies such as Cisco Nexus, ACI, VMWare, NetApp,Citrix. Working knowledge of DDL, DML, TSQL, stored procedures, triggers, views, constraints, cursors and PowerShell; Cohesity backup technology and Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM) SQL Server monitoring; Microsoft Azure SQL Database.

  2. Interview. The interview process can vary by department and oftentimes involves an interview with a hiring panel and another interview with leadership. Work samples are encouraged for these interviews.
  3. Get screened. If selected you must pass a background check and drug screening.
  4. Decision time! If it's a fit, we'll make an offer.

    The IT Rotation Program

    While working toward a bachelor’s degree, SRP also has internship opportunities for future IT pros. The IT Rotation Program is designed to develop a pool of entry-level IT analysts and equip them with a strong foundation for success at SRP.  

    The goal? To help you grow into jobs more quickly as more experienced IT analysts move into more senior-level positions.

The IT Rotation Program

While working toward a bachelor’s degree, SRP also has internship opportunities for future IT pros. The IT Rotation Program is designed to develop a pool of entry-level IT analysts and equip them with a strong foundation for success at SRP.  

The goal? To help you grow into jobs more quickly as more experienced IT analysts move into more senior-level positions.

The program provides participants with the opportunity to obtain broad exposure to SRP's corporate structure, operational challenges and industry issues. In addition, program participants gain valuable work experience and have other development opportunities.  

Participants will complete a combination of six-month rotations within various "core" IT areas and other "elective/supplemental" IT areas over a period of two years. The specific combination of rotations will vary by participant, based on their skills and interests, project opportunities and business needs. Participants are assigned a mentor for the duration of the program and also take part in monthly corporate training and developmental activities.
