Summary

Motivated and detail‑oriented intern supporting the successful delivery of large‑scale generation and infrastructure projects. Experienced in assisting project managers and engineers with planning, scheduling, documentation, data analysis, and field coordination. Skilled at organizing project information, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Demonstrates strong analytical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills while working in fast‑paced, technical environments. Eager to contribute to project execution, continuous improvement, and overall organizational success.

 

Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, participating in undergraduate programs-preferably in project management or enginerring-related fields. Coursework should be aligned with the skills required for the position. 

 

The student intern will work daily scheduled hours based on the department’s needs, with a minimum requirement of 15 hours and up to 40 hours per week maximum.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in Management of Major and Minor contractors
  • Assist in design review and on multi-discipline design submittals for Power Generation and Power Delivery design scopes
  • Gain hands-on experience in both Power Generation and Power Delivery settings
  • Coordinate design review sessions
  • Assist in contractor field oversite and management 
  • Manage drawing repository process of project drawings incorporated into corporate drawing management system

Education

A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.

Additional Requirements and Qualifications

College level coursework (100 or higher) from an accredited institution is preferred. Management will evaluate college-level coursework individually to determine if it is applicable to the position and relevant to the required skills. Knowledge such as accounting, general administrative principles, communications, marketing, personnel, finance, training, business and other non-scientific fields.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
