Summary
Looking for a first, second or third year Civil Engineer student for a long term internship in our Transmission Line Asset Management department. The student intern will work daily scheduled hours based on the department’s needs, with a minimum requirement of 15 hours and up to 29.5 hours per week maximum.
What You'll Do
Civil Engineer Intern. Assist the department with various tasks such as:
- Researching, processing and submitting technical data reports.
- Learning and development of standards, procedures and drawings.
- General shadowing & assisting engineers by taking on small design projects or assignments on their own.
- Assist with other duties or assignments as needed.
Experience
- Civil Engineer degree preferred
- Coursework in the civil sciences may be readily applicable for this position.
- Must be a full-time college student, enrolled in at least 12 credit hours, in an accredited University or Community College and maintain a good academic standing.
- Have a high level of interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- CADD, GIS background preferred
Education
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
