Summary
We are looking for an advanced college intern to engage in hands-on projects that will enhance your academic learning while contributing to our team's objectives. This role involves collaborating with professionals across various departments, conducting research, and assisting in the development of innovative solutions. You will gain valuable experience in your field of study, refine your writing skills, and network with others in the SRP Water organization. Your proactive approach and eagerness to learn will be essential as you tackle real-world challenges and support ongoing initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with team members to gather relevant information for developing reference materials and procedures.
- Develop user-friendly technical documentation.
- Assist Training and Business Analysts in project-related work.
- Assess and refine documentation to ensure quality and consistency.
- Participate in various aspects of project initiatives as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute.
Experience
- Currently enrolled in an advanced college degree program in Technical/Business Writing, Business Administration, Journalism, or a related field.
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Excellent editing abilities to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence with guidelines in all written materials.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and working independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
- Project management skills preferred.
Education
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona. We are taking steps to protect the health and well-being of all team members, and by following a number of health and safety protocols, to reduce the risk of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
