Job Brief

The Principal Integration Architect/Developer is responsible for the overarching design of software application systems to ensure that they interoperate appropriately, are tied into the enterprise architectural requirements, and have a consistent technical direction. The Architect is responsible for developing strategic initiatives and setting the direction for the Integration Support department.

This position will be responsible for ensuring that the integrations adhere to SRP's standards for utilizing service oriented architecture (SOA), messaging (ESB), development templates and quality assurance.

This Architect is a mentor and provides positive and developmental feedback and capitalizes on teachable moments to grow others. This position is responsible for the technical training and development of associates.
 

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs IT studies in areas of Software Development, Database Administration, Data Warehouse Analysis, Systems Programming, Network Engineering, Data Storage, or Unified Communications & Messaging that require a significant knowledge of related fields
  • Performs as a staff consultant and/or advisor in a technical specialty
  • Provides discipline leadership in administration and review of work performed by consultants and others
  • Performs as a project leader on large complex projects.
  • Responsible for budgets, schedules, management of resources for large or critical projects.

Education

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution plus an additional 18 graduate level college credits in an area of specialty.

Experience

Minimum of 10 years cumulative and progressive post-degree experience

Additional Information

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Responsible for developing and supporting enterprise integration applications
  • Responsible for configuring and supporting external vendor data exchanges
  • Responsible for managing and supporting the infrastructure upon which integration applications and vendor data exchanges run
  • Works with the Integration Support team to proactively identify issues/risks and provide solutions
  • Works with the Integration Support team to deliver project artifacts such as technical requirements and design documents
  • Performs code reviews and ensures adherence to coding standards
  • Mentors other Integration Support team members when applicable
  • Understanding of SOA, ESB, and web services
  • Knowledge of XML data concepts
  • Experience with building and/or using standard frameworks and integration design patterns
  • Knowledge of capacity, performance and security aspects integrated enterprise applications
  • Understanding of application performance tuning techniques
  • Ability to work with business users and IT technical staff in a team environment
  • Communicates effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal skills
  • Skilled in problem analysis and creative approaches to problem solving to provide quality deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and accountability for achieving results
