Job Brief

Salt River Project (SRP) is hiring a Senior Systems/Network Analyst to support reliable operations. This position requires a focus on supporting high availability systems. A successful candidate must be a detailed-oriented, team player with a growth mindset comfortable with supporting redundant, complex network architectures. Knowledge of next generation firewalls, switching, routing, and Linux are highly desired.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementing, supporting, monitoring, and troubleshooting next generation firewalls and Linux servers
  • Responsible for the design, architecture, implementation, and maintenance of complex network infrastructure
  • Requires the utilization of standard security strategies to ensure protection of sensitive data, systems, applications and physical assets
  • Requires excellent teamwork, communication, and customer service skills
  • Works collaboratively with departments to effectively communicate progress and performance
  • Identifies trends and root causes of challenges, determines solutions, and makes recommendations for management consideration
  • Must participate in a rotational 24 by 7 callout process


Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.


Promotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years of experience at Level 1; demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor. Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of three-years of experience at Level 2; is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.

Additional Information

  • Must have strong problem resolution skills
  • Experience deploying, supporting and troubleshooting Linux
  • Experience deploying, supporting and troubleshooting network devices - next generation firewalls, SSL VPNs, switches and routers
  • Knowledge of the OSI model, TCP/IP, routing and switching
  • Knowledge of NERC regulations as they pertain to critical infrastructure
