Job Brief

The Application Team Lead for Supply and Trading Support manages an embedded support team serving the IT needs of SRP’s Supply, Trading and Fuels Organization and processes. In this role, the lead drives strategy and approach for all operational and project activities. With a focus on customer service and the stakeholder experience, this lead position guides their team to provide services supporting various Supply and Trading applications in addition to a suite of tools and processes. This position enforces policies, standards and procedures regarding IT practices, procurement, cyber security, information management and regulatory requirements. This lead position also evaluates new technologies, products, and services to better aid stakeholders, and makes decisions on personnel matters. In addition, they are responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating technology and operations, as well as facilitating end user support services for Supply and Trading and Fuels employees.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing staff and activities of the Supply and Trading Applications Team.
  • Leads team’s operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating allocation of resources.
  • Works with stakeholders to define business and system requirements for new technology implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and other technology improvements.
  • Provides 24x7 request and incident management support based on SLA benchmarks and customer service best practices.
  • Initiates and oversees project demands.
  • Manages all requirements of ongoing corporate audit activity (discovery, response and remediation) as it relates to the IT portion of Supply and Trading business functions.
  • Establishes and maintains communication with stakeholders regarding status of projects and other activities.
  • Monitors service levels and corrects performance issues as needed.
  • Develops and maintains Disaster Recovery and Business Process Continuity documentation to support critical systems.
  • Defines and implements continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Works closely with ITS staff and user community to resolve problems and provide assistance with problem resolution.
  • Works with the Business Area Representative to maintain technology roadmap for Supply, Trading and Fuels, and to communicate future needs to the stakeholders.
  • Directs personnel, administers performance feedback, and levels workload across team.
  • Manages and facilitates employee development.

Education

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.

Experience

Minimum of 7 years cumulative and progressive exempt level professional experience.

  • Proactively communicates and maintains client relationships including meeting with leadership.
  • Ability to analyze project needs and determine resources to meet objectives and solve problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and concepts in a clear, concise manner to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to successfully deliver technical solutions to business problems.
  • Understanding of audit requirements and ability to support the audit process.
  • Project planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Demonstrates leadership, teamwork, customer service and negotiation skills are essential.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and service providers.
  • Ability to evaluate business needs and IT trends and advocate changes to standards and strategy as a result.
  • Ability to translate IT strategy to directives and plans to guide decisions and activities of their team.
  • Ability to monitor IT service delivery results including performance against service level agreements.
  • Ability to work with business users and IT technical staff in a team environment.

Hybrid Workplace

 

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
