Job Brief

Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategic Risk Management, the business analyst will represent Strategic Risk Management with other analysts, leaders, and executives throughout the enterprise.  The analyst will support the Risk Work Group, Risk Owners and 6 Year Planning Teams in identifying strategic risks throughout the enterprise and assist in developing mitigation strategies for those risks. Under supervision, plans, organizes, develops, coordinates, instructs, and evaluates risk management and technical training and development programs. Position involves interaction with all employee levels and various industry and educational resources in a support role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides analytical support to the department manager and the management staff.
  • Assists department management to develop and implement strategic goals and objectives and to monitor results.
  • Plans, administers, evaluates risk related training for SRP employees involved in the Enterprise Risk Management process.
  • Maintains accurate records, schedules facilities, and coordinates all elements of assigned projects/tasks, for effective learning.
  • Maintains continuing communications with selected managers/supervisors regarding current projects and future needs.
  • Researches and prepares reports/presentations to management that effect business implementation decisions
  • Assists management to identify internal/external risks that may impact/improve accomplishment of strategic goals and objectives.
  • Performs other functions and duties as assigned.

Education

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.

Experience

Promotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years experience at Level 1 and demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determiend by the supervisor.  Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of 3 years experience at Level 2, is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
