Job Brief

The Business Analyst Rotation program is designed to develop a pool of entry-level or early career analysts, equipped with a strong foundation for success at SRP. Successful graduates from the program are poised for advancement within SRP as analysts and leaders in a wide range of areas including financial planning, pricing, customer services, strategic planning and more.

 

The program provides participants with exposure to SRP's corporate structure and operational complexities, plus the opportunity to gain insight into broader industry issues impacting SRP and its customers. In addition, program participants gain valuable work experience and will have other training opportunities. Participants will complete a combination of six-month rotations within various "core" finance/quantitative areas and other "elective/supplemental" areas over a period of two years. The specific combination of rotations will vary by participant, based on their skills and interests, project opportunities, and business needs.

 

The position is being recruited for a January 2024 or July 2024 start date. Currently, teleworking is available up to 3 days per week depending upon the department you are working in. 

Job Responsibilities

 The successful candidate should have the following skills and abilities:
•    Proven analytical and quantitative abilities (professional or academic, as applicable).
•    Demonstrated leadership qualities.
•    Working understanding of the principles of statistics, economics, finance and accounting.
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•    Excellent problem-solving skills.
•    Ability to "see the big picture."
•    Ability to comfortably handle ambiguous concepts and problems with varying levels of complexity.
•    Ability to perform multiple assignments concurrently.
•    Ability to interact well with others and build constructive and effective relationships.
•    Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Education

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
