Summary

The Transmission & Generation Operations team at SRP is seeking an engineering college intern to assist with the development and maintenance of system operations tools and documentation. Daily duties would be performed under the direct supervision of several engineering team members.

What It Takes To Succeed

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint with intermediate level proficiency with MS Excel.
  • Experience working with MS Teams, SharePoint or other document management/ collaboration tools.
  • Experience with the following software tools:
    • Adobe Acrobat DC
    • MS Visio
    • MS Project
    • Power BI
    • Tableau
  • Candidates must be enrolled in at least 6 college credits (200 or higher-level courses for Fall of 2024)

What You'll Do

  • Provide research, analysis and engineering support for key departmental projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Utilize document management software to upload or scan paper documents and ensure documents are stored in compliance with SRP retention policies or NERC Regulatory Standards.
  • Support the development and administration of MS Teams site, including various task/ project management applications such as Planner, Lists, Power BI and others.
  • Assist with drafting, updating, and reporting on the status of standard operating practices.
  • Support multiple Pi ProcessBook display updates, including any needed conversions to Pi Vision.
  • Utilize multiple data sources to compile and report out key performance metrics.
  • Willing to work 20-30 hours a week.

Education

College level coursework (100+) from an accredited institution will be evaluated on an individual basis according to the skill/level to determine if applicable to the position by management.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
