Summary

We are seeking a summer student intern for our Strategic Business Accounts Team (SBAT) to support all Strategic Energy Management Divisional (SEMD) teams as well as core teams that directly support SEMD that include; Corporate Pricing, Resource Planning, Marketing, Supply and Trading, etc.

 

What You'll Do

  • Work alongside account professionals to manage strategic customers.
  • Support the preparation, communication, and execution of major initiatives such as: renewable energy projects, energy efficiency, and demand response.
  • Prepare analyses for customers and other industry representatives.
  • Identify opportunities to market products and services using analytics and problem-solving.
  • Assist in delivering price plan comparisons, load, and pricing evaluations for customers.
  • Engage with Energy Executives to learn about renewable and battery-storage initiatives.
  • Participate in trade and business association meetings in partnership with customers.
  • Learn and communicate to customers various Rules & Regulations, Price Plans, and Corporate Objectives.
  • Closely work with additional SRP departments, such as Economic Development, Grid Integration, Resource Planning, Metering, Substation Design, and others.
  • Support SEM in daily customer requests including but not limited to billing, business program support and account management.
  • Prepare presentations for internal stakeholders to advance cross-organizational collaboration.
  • Sit in on meetings, on site and off site, and compile key take aways.
  • Support the E60 efforts to ensure customer’s are moved to appropriate price plan in a timely manner.
  • Final project: prepare a market analysis. Provide insight and suggestions to advance SRP’s customer service strategy.

What It Takes To Succeed

Time and Attendance:

  • Three-days per week (Tues-Wed-Thur)
  • Seven hours per day
  • In office position only

 

Intern Program Eligibility and Pay Structure:

  • To be eligible for the Student Intern Program at SRP, the employee must be actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours that are college level (100) or above over the course of a regular semester and must be working towards a degree from an accredited college or university.
  • For an accelerated program, the student must be enrolled in six credit hours in the equivalent of a traditional semester.
  • Pay rate is $18.75 per hour for an undergraduate intern and $20.80 per hour for a graduate intern.

Education

College level coursework (100+) from an accredited institution will be evaluated on an individual basis according to the skill/level to determine if applicable to the position by management.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona. We are taking steps to protect the health and well-being of all team members, and by following a number of health and safety protocols, to reduce the risk of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
