Job Brief

Leverages customer insights to develop and influence strategic direction across the organization, including but not limited to corporate strategies, marketing and communications strategies, product and service development, pricing, customer service and community partnerships. Synthesizes learning from customer segmentation, market research and analysis projects to determine key learning and make recommendations for impact to strategies.  Collaborates with business partners to increase understanding of the relevance of customer segmentation and how it should be leveraged to improve strategies and plans. Responsible for understanding corporate and business partner goals and developing segment level marketing strategies to maximize the likelihood of success through effective targeting of solutions and messages. Collaborates with Content and Marketing team to ensure marketing strategy is effectively executed. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as the strategic “voice of the customer” across the SRP organization. Develop an in-depth understanding of customer segmentation and other research/analytics and advocate for the effective integration of learning and related implications into strategies and plans across the organization. Advocate to ensure that strategies drive maximum impact on corporate and business partner goals.
  • Collaborate with analytics and research teams to develop projects to address key strategic questions; work closely with these teams to determine learning and implications.
  • Develop data driven, segment-level marketing strategies that are aligned with the annual SRP strategic plan and based on learning from customer segmentation, market research, trends and analytics. Define the impact that marketing strategies should have on corporate objectives, define marketing strategy KPIs, and monitor progress to ensure the achievement of SRP business objectives and all KPIs.
  • Serve as a resource, collaborator and partner with C&M team to incorporate marketing strategies into annual marketing plans and ultimately programs/tactics and messages.
  • Initiate, cultivate and maintain relationships at all levels across the organization. Serve as trusted and credible advisor and strategic partner to internal business partners.
  • Initiate and/or understand customer journeys with SRP and integrate into marketing plans and key messages. 
  • Develop a clear and compelling articulation of the SRP brand, refine brand standards as changes create a need, and advocate to ensure the brand is consistently portrayed in all communication and interactions.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.


A minimum of 7 years marketing experience for the senior level. Experience with emphasis on branding, research and analytics preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively collaborate with and influence teams to initiate research and complex analytics, with particular emphasis on framing objectives and key questions to be addressed with the goal of developing meaningful and actionable insights to inform strategies across the organization.
  • Track record of blending personal creativity and innovation to design brand marketing strategies, plans and key messages that measurably improved brand position and drive attainment of corporate and business partner objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex market landscape and consumer requirements, link brand strategies and design marketing strategies that improve the organization’s value position.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and use their technical expertise in combination with strategic perspective to inspire and persuade others through compelling strategies.
  • Experience in leading through influence in high-visibility roles as an individual contributor across organizational levels, with business partners and colleagues, and senior executive team members.
