Job Brief
Assist plant personnel by performing technical work consisting of compiling, computing, evaluating, and reporting critical plant information. Performs office and/or field technical work, recommends action on plans and procedures, and develops equipment and material specification. Work involves the application of mathematical and technical knowledge gained through training and experience and requires judgment in the execution of assignments. Specific tasks will vary by department and division.
Job Responsibilities
- Supports plant staff in development of new computer programs and modification of existing programs.
- Writes, tests, and maintains computer programs for various uses.
- Assists plant personnel in the preparation and analysis of system planning studies, reports and presentations.
- Is project leader for projects, has primary design responsibility, and coordinates efforts of other SRP groups.
- Contacts outside agencies, such as utilities, government agencies, developers, engineers, manufactures, vendors and others.
- Provides technical assistance on special projects as required by supervision.
- Assists engineers in the preparation and analysis, studies, reports and presentations.
- Provides support and technical expertise to other departments.
Education
Experience
Minimum 6 years of related experience required. Promotions are determined by demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by management.

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
