Summary
Distribution Strategy Development is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to help shape the future of SRP’s electric distribution system. This role supports enterprise-level strategic planning, analytical studies, and cross-functional initiatives focused on distribution enablement, reliability, emerging technologies, and load growth. The analyst will partner across Distribution Operations, Planning, Customer Programs, and external partners to translate complex data and technical concepts into actionable strategies and executive-ready deliverables.

What You'll Do
- Support development and execution of Distribution Enablement, Reliability, and Load Growth strategies and roadmaps.
- Conduct analytical studies related to DERs, EVs, microgrids, mobile generation, AMI, and emerging grid technologies.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, briefs, dashboards, and decision-support materials.
- Provide analytical support to leadership including scenario analysis, risk identification, and opportunity evaluation.
- Collaborate with Planning, Operations, Customer Programs, IT, and external partners on cross-functional initiatives.
- Lead or support special projects and independent studies to improve planning processes, tools, and organizational effectiveness.
- Track strategic metrics and support development of performance dashboards and reporting artifacts.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical topics into business insights.
- Experience creating executive-ready written and presentation materials.
- Working knowledge of electric utility distribution systems or grid modernization initiatives preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical topics into business insights.

Education
Experience
• For a Level 1 (Associate), a minimum of no previous years of experience to two years related experience is required (if no degree, four-six years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling four-six years).
• For a Level 2 (Journey), a minimum of two years of experience to four years related experience is required (if no degree, six-eight years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling six-eight years).
• For a Level 3 (Senior), a minimum of five years of related experience is required (if no degree, nine years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling nine years).
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
