Summary

High school senior student internship for those enrolled in a formal COE/ICE program.

 

This COE student position reports to the Coronado Generating Station in St. Johns with an onsite-only work schedule.

What You'll Do

Work under the direction of different department leaders. Rotate through various departments at CGS, including maintenance, environmental, engineering, training, accounts payable and facilities to provide support on daily projects as well as other duties as assigned. Tasks will be designed to provide an opportunity for the successful candidate to learn about different trades and aspects of power plant operation, maintenance and administration.

What It Takes To Succeed

Schedule/Pay Structure:

  • The schedule that the plant personnel work is 6:00am to 4:30pm M-Th. During the school year, the successful candidate would work a schedule that fits in the plant schedule, generally a modified half day schedule. 
  • Pay rate is $15.60 per hour for high school COE students. 

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona. We are taking steps to protect the health and well-being of all team members, and by following a number of health and safety protocols, to reduce the risk of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
