Summary
The candidate will be part of the Analytics Center of Excellence (ACE) Business Insights team, whose mission is to deliver enterprise reporting and analytics solutions that enable data driven decision making across SRP. The team focuses on analytics platform support, reporting standards, and business ready insights in partnership with IT and business stakeholders.
A successful candidate will provide hands on support for analytics and reporting services while gaining practical experience with Power BI, enterprise datasets, and analytics support processes. This role is well suited for a student with an interest in business intelligence and analytics platforms who is eager to learn how analytics functions within a large enterprise environment.
The student intern will work daily scheduled hours based on the department’s needs, with a minimum requirement of 15 hours and up to 40 hours per week maximum.
What You'll Do
The Student Intern will support the ACE Business Insights team by:
- Providing ServiceNow support for reporting and analytics IT issues, including;
- General analytics community support
- Power BI service issues (e.g. Scheduled Refresh issues),
- Workspace Administration
- Reporting troubleshooting across Power BI, Power BI Paginated Reports, and SSRS
- Assisting with the collection, validation, and basic preparation of data from multiple enterprise data sources
- Supporting the development, testing, and maintenance of dashboards and reports, primarily using Power BI
- Creating and updating knowledge articles for support teams and business stakeholders, and assisting with the maintenance of ACE Business Insights process documentation
- Working within established ACE standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge articles, and analytics best practices
- Performing additional analytics related or administrative tasks as needed
Education
Experience
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
- Strong interest in data and analytics, and business intelligence
- Basic understanding of core analytics tools and skills, including:
o Power BI
o Power BI Paginated
o SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
o SQL
o DAX
- Experience with Snowflake is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes
- Problem solving mindset with a willingness to learn and ask questions
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including sound good documentation practices.
- Organized and able to manage multiple requests or tasks concurrently in a support oriented environment

Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
