Summary

Knowledge such as accounting, finance, marketing, economics, and/or general business fields of study.

The student intern will work daily scheduled hours based on the department’s needs, with a minimum requirement of 15 hours and up to 29.5 hours per week maximum.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with SRP’s periodic cost accounting Allocation Study (indirect cost allocation)
  • Provide support to accounting staff through data extraction and analysis
  • Assist with internal control compliance activities including SAP GRC maintenance, key control testing, etc.
  • Assist with subsidiary and affiliate accounting, audits, and financial statements  
  • Execute accounting transactions using accounting software (SAP, QuickBooks, etc.)
  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations
  • Assist with scheduled financial and statutory audits
  • Perform other duties and functions as required

What It Takes To Succeed

Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours working toward a degree in Accounting/Business.

Experience

  • Requires proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and software navigation

Education

College level coursework (100+) from an accredited institution will be evaluated on an individual basis according to the skill/level to determine if applicable to the position by management.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona. We are taking steps to protect the health and well-being of all team members, and by following a number of health and safety protocols, to reduce the risk of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
