Summary

SRP is recruiting for a Student Intern for our Corporate Secretary's Office. 

The student intern will work daily scheduled hours based on the department’s needs, with a minimum requirement of 15 hours and up to 29.5 hours per week maximum.

What You'll Do

Department General Administration
•    Provide front desk coverage
•    Process interoffice mail at 9:30 am and 3:30 pm.
•    Accept all documents and items brought into the office and distribute
•    Assist with travel arrangements and travel expense reports for Department personnel
•    File documents and provide quality control in Digital Vault project
•    Process bankruptcies, garnishments, and trustee documents
Board & Council
•    Assist with Event invitations
•    Update mailing lists and labels with any changes received regarding mail addresses for Board and Council Members
•    Assist with travel forms, arrangements, and packets for SRP Board and Council Members
•    Assist with travel expense reports for Board and Council Members
•    Prepare and keep stocked Member envelopes from LFH and JMF
•    Facilitate signatures on a variety of documents for the President, Vice President, Corporate Secretary, and Assistant Corporate Secretary 
•    Update BoardVantage with communications to B&C including: e-daily, Pulse, Quarterly Newsletters
•    Draft minute templates, scripts, etc.
Meeting Prep
•    Update roll calls specific to upcoming meetings
•    Save meeting materials sent to $SECOFF (PowerPoints and handouts)
•    Receive BAMs/Scan/Facilitate Signature/Update List/File
•    Create meeting backups
•    Mailings: Preparation and production (labels, envelopes, mailing count, notices, agendas, minutes, signed BAMs, handouts, resolutions)
•    Posting of physical agendas
•    Setup/take down of Catering orders (i.e. meeting beverages, lunches, tours)
•    Setup/take down for meetings (i.e. agendas, handouts, resolutions, scripts)
•    Inventory of beverage and other supplies needed in BR and BCR
Elections
•    Prepare election year orientation packets for new Board and Council Members
•    Update new member information

What It Takes To Succeed

To be eligible for SRP's year-round Intern Program, students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 college credits in the Fall and Spring Semesters.  Student interns are expected to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, but up to 29.5 hours are available if school schedule can accommodate.  Work week is Monday - Friday during support hours of 7:30am-5pm. Must be able to work 2 days per week at our Corporate Headquarters in Tempe.

Education

College level coursework (100+) from an accredited institution will be evaluated on an individual basis according to the skill/level to determine if applicable to the position by management.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona. We are taking steps to protect the health and well-being of all team members, and by following a number of health and safety protocols, to reduce the risk of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
