Summary

The Technology & Digital Asset Management team oversees the technologies and workflows related to the archiving and distribution of media assets created by SRP’s Community, Communications and Marketing (CCM) department. Working with an ever-growing collection that includes about a million photographs, a hundred thousand video files, and around ten thousand design assets, the intern will be exposed to the challenges and opportunities that accompany working with an enterprise digital asset management system in a fast-paced marketing environment. The intern will assist the team in overseeing all aspects of the asset lifecycle including curating, organizing, documenting, cataloging, rights management, business partner consultation, and asset distribution.  

What You'll Do

  • Assist with daily tasks and workflows surrounding the digital asset ecosystem
  • Work with the Digital Asset Management Specialists to monitor and maintain digital collections
  • Assist with metadata entry and metadata clean-up projects
  • Support Technology & Digital Asset Management team in maintaining rights and permissions of all digital assets and provide guidance to stakeholders as needed
  • Responsible for the ingest of daily content and distribution to internal business partners

What It Takes To Succeed

  • Self-starter, takes initiative, and completes tasks independently
  • Good technical skills, comfort working across digital platform
  • Detail oriented, able to grasp the big picture while performing repetitive tasks
  • Interest in rich media cataloging and metadata management
  • Interested in understanding the practice and process of managing complex digital asset management workflows and tools
  • Good interpersonal skills, not afraid to reach out to business partners for clarification
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred Candidate pursuing Bachelors or Masters in Librarian Science

Experience

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program, preferrably in the Librian Science discipline

Education

College level coursework (100+) from an accredited institution will be evaluated on an individual basis according to the skill/level to determine if applicable to the position by management.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
