Summary
Salt River Project (SRP), the nation's third-largest public power and water utility is seeking a graduate student for a paid internship for its Regulatory Affairs department in Tempe, AZ. The graduate Intern will support the Regulatory Affairs team in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to regulatory developments affecting the electric utility industry across state (Arizona Corporation Commission), regional (California Independent System Operator and Southwestern Power Pool) and federal levels (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission). This role provides an excellent opportunity for a graduate student to gain hands-on experience in regulatory affairs, policy analysis, and compliance within the energy sector.

What You'll Do
• Desire to learn about energy related issues and their corresponding policy challenges and solutions.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on regulatory and policy issues impacting the electric utility industry.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor and analyze regulatory developments at the federal, state, and regional levels.
• Support the development and implementation of regulatory strategies and compliance initiatives.
• Participate in meetings with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and other stakeholders.
• Provide administrative support to the Regulatory Affairs team as needed.
