Summary
Performs key activities and provides support throughout customer-driven Distributed Energy Resource projects. Supports internal stakeholders and customers and their project developers with project scoping, design, construction, and commissioning. Performs design reviews and field inspections to ensure compliance with SRP standards and interconnection program requirements.
What You'll Do
- Support the Distributed Energy Commercial program by meticulously reviewing engineering drawings to ensure they comply with SRP standards, industry standards, and SRP program requirements.
- Performs final inspections to ensure DER system installation aligns with SRP approved construction drawings.
- Manage and oversee commercial solar outages with diligence and accountability.
- Conduct site evaluations and scoping to determine project requirements and feasibility.
- Meet with contractors to establish construction schedules, scope, and resource requirements and identify and address potential problems, changes and/or inspections.
- Provides technical guidance to customers, their developers, and internal teams during all phases of the project to ensure customer designs and solutions to correct deficiencies align with SRP interconnection standards and processes.
- Update process and instructional documentation by incorporating changes to commercial outage processes and provides recommendations to interconnection committees and leadership for process improvements and updates to SRP standards.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager.

- Communicate effectively through written and verbal means with external customers, contractors, and internal department members.
- Keeps knowledge current on SRP interconnection standards, processes, and systems and behind the meter technologies.
- Adapt to unexpected situations or shifting priorities with flexibility and resilience.
- NABCEP certification is preferred.
Experience
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical trade, construction trade, or a related field for the senior level. For level 2, at least 3 years of experience is required and for level 1, at least 1 year of experience in electrical trade, construction trade or a related field is required.
Education
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
