Summary

The SRP ESMS (Enterprise GIS) team implements and enables geo-spatial solutions for all of Salt River Project and its mission of delivering reliable, affordable, and sustainable power and water. From real-time graphical displays, to mobile data collection, to enabling business workflows with a location-based focus, this team strives to be an innovation partner with all of the business areas within SRP.

On the application creation side, you’ll be interacting with SRP’s lines of business regularly to understand the business need, have a conversation about how the different ways the technology can accomplish that business need, finding the correct balance between technical implementation effort and business value, and finally implementing the solution.  You will be working with team leadership and team members in this process, and will be expected to provide your own ideas and actively consider your coworkers ideas.

On the infrastructure management side, you will be addressing any functionality issues that occur in the existing environment (many times interacting with ESRI support), providing considerations to the team as a whole regarding what capabilities to enable within the environment and to whom, and helping move towards a goal of enabling access to GIS across SRP.

A requirement of both roles is to be willing to work in a team environment and justify ideas with sound reasoning.

What You'll Do

The SRP ESMS team is looking for a candidate with a combination of the following skills

  • Leading and implementing the creation of applications in ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online
    • Configuring applications in ArcGIS Experience Builder or ESRI Web App Builder.
    • Deploying applications to ArcGIS Field Maps, Survey 123, or ArcGIS QuickCapture.
    • Designing and building objects in the GIS to enable the application (database design, feature class registration, map service design and creation).
    • Familiarity of the differences between ArcGIS Online and on-prem ArcGIS Enterprise.
    • Collaborating directly with the end users to build the best solution, considering tradeoffs between technical effort and business value.
    • Working with team members to collaborate technically.
    • Support existing applications in this stack.

  • Managing ESRI GIS infrastructure to enable GIS functionality at SRP
    • Familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise (and site configurations), ArcGIS GeoEvent Server, stand-alone ArcGIS Servers.
    • Experience making considerations regarding business critical applications, and the disaster recovery and high-availability considerations that come with them.
    • Supporting and designing the architecture of redundant, multi-site, on-prem ArcGIS Enterprise instances.
    • Upgrading on-prem ArcGIS Enterprise instances
    • Managing multiple AGOL tenants (authentication models, multi-tenant collaboration strategies, user management)
    • Monitoring the health of the environments
    • Light scripting to help automate management of these environments
