Summary
Provide engineering support services to SRP in a technically sound, safe, timely and cost-effective manner to enable SRP to realize its goals and objectives for providing water and energy related services. Apparatus Engineering (AE) specifies and procures the major substation equipment for the SRP electric system. System voltage ranges from 12.47kV to 525kV.

What You'll Do
• Manage and schedule equipment needs and orders as well as equipment assignments.
• Extract equipment needs from the SRP Work Management System (WAM/Maximo).
• Assign substation equipment for system and special projects.
• Work with internal stakeholder to address equipment and delivery changes.
• Hold regular meetings with the AE Engineering Teams to track purchase orders, drawing availability, and equipment deliveries.
• Attend monthly capital project coordination meetings.
• Maintain various status reports related to equipment order status, delivery, and drawing availability.
• Act as a resource for information and documentation on major substation equipment.
• Act as a central point of contact for internal stakeholders
• Supervise the AE Document Coordinators
What It Takes To Succeed
• Knowledge of procuring major substation equipment.
• Knowledge of power transmission and distribution fundamentals including substation equipment applications.
• A good understanding of substation design and maintenance is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively within SRP as well as entities outside of SRP.
• Must be able to work as a member of a team and handle multiple tasks and priorities.
• Able to work in high pressure situations on highly critical equipment under compressed deadlines.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills both oral and written.
• Skilled at communicating complex concepts to varying audiences.
• A history of building strong relationships.
• Willing to think critically and offer solutions to complex problems.
• Have or develop proficiency with job related software, IBM WAM/Maximo, DNVGL Cascade, PowerBI, MicroSoft Office Products.
Experience
A minimum of seven years of related experience is required (if no degree, 11 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling 11 years).
Education
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
