Summary

As a Manager of Marketing Analytics and Performance at SRP, you will lead and drive the strategic development of a market analytics and performance (MAP) team to support data-driven decision-making. In this role, you will apply your people leadership, analytical, and technical skills to identify future trends, perform advanced analyses, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that significantly impact SRP’s brand and marketing strategies.  You will oversee the development and maintenance of a marketing data warehouse and guide the team in supporting a customer data platform (CDP).

What You'll Do

  • People Leadership & Development: Build, mentor, and lead a top -tier advanced analytics team (consisting of data scientists, data engineers, and digital analysts). Lead and facilitate work teams within the department, with internal business partners, and with external contractors to achieve departmental and corporate objectives. You will coach and upskill your team on both technical and professional skills.
  • Data Warehouse Management: Oversee a marketing data warehouse and customer data platform (CDP) to ensure the delivery of consistent, accurate, and repeatable information through standard reports and dashboards, driving brand strategy and integrated marketing communications. Identify and address technology gaps to effectively implement analytics and business intelligence systems.
  • Advanced Analytics: Utilize a wide range of statistical and multivariate analyses to provide both descriptive and exploratory insights, using speed and agility to evaluate uncertain conditions and outcomes, essential for predictive modeling and future forecasting. Guide the data science and engineering team to employ rigorous analytical techniques and methodologies.
  • Communication: Communicate analytical results to business partners in a consultative manner, tailored to the target audience (both technical and non-technical audiences). Manage the team’s data science expertise to ensure the “Voice of the Customer” is represented in outputs, leveraging market segmentation to reflect customer behaviors and preferences in reporting, analysis, and measurement activities.
  • Consultation with Business Partners: Collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders to create robust data views, results, and insights.
  • Vendor Management: Negotiate vendor contracts as needed.
  • Data Privacy Compliance: Ensure adherence to data privacy laws and regulations when collecting and storing data.

What It Takes To Succeed

  • Possess strong knowledge of data analysis tools and statistical methods. 
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build relationships and partnerships across the organization.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills, with proficiency in storytelling and communicating with business partners.
  • Experience with data querying and/or scripting languages software such as SQL, Python, Power BI, and R.
  • Experience managing data warehouse platforms (e.g. SQL, Snowflake, Dataiku).
  • Experience with data segmentation and reporting within CRM and Marketing Automation systems (e.g., Microsoft CRM, Zeta Marketing Platform, Zeta Customer Data Platform)
  • Experience with digital analytics tools, a plus (e.g.  Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, SEO/SEM campaigns and digital tools)
  • Discretion in handling proprietary and sensitive information.

Experience

  • Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, or related quantitative fields.
  • A minimum of 8 years of work experience in advanced analytics or data science, including a minimum of 3 years of experience managing an analytics team.

Education

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
