Summary
The Market Research and Insights Manager lays the groundwork for our excellent product and service experiences by defining and implementing our voice of customer research. They lead a team of market researchers that engage in internal product and service discussions, translating customer usage and feedback into actionable insights and future innovation. This manager and their team craft new insights through data analysis and market research. They shape the SRP brand strategy and influence the customer experience as well as other key business decisions through collaboration. They serve as an ambassador for the voice of the customer and share insights across the organization openly.
What You'll Do
- Designs and oversees qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and techniques; and implements research plans for all stages of a customer life cycle.
- Understands and has breadth of experience in both qualitative and quantitative marketing research approaches including focus groups and in-depth interviews, customer opinion studies, tracking research, market segmentation, sampling plans, and statistical analysis to investigate market conditions and determine opportunities to better understand our customer experience.
- Impacts the strategic direction of the SRP brand by translating data analysis and market research findings into meaningful insights and recommendations aligned to the needs of business partners. Displays commitment to high quality, cost-effective and timely research. Maintains high standards of integrity and remains audit-ready with data governance and market research management.
- Communicates complex information in a clear, concise, and meaningful way to add relevance and impact to research findings.
- Acts as a consultant to internal clients through strong listening skills and working toward problem definition, scope negotiation, weighing tradeoffs and management of expectations.
- Collaborates with business partners and team members to translate business questions into research designs, analytics plans and customized reports.
- Independently leads and manages end-to-end research, from scoping and planning, to executing and reporting to meet business needs.
- Proactively leads multiple projects, plans and allocates resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet departmental productivity and quality goals and proactively communicates progress to senior leadership.
- Represents the Voice of our Customers through compelling storytelling and presents research findings and recommendations in a compelling manner to drive action and decision-making.
- Coaches and mentors direct reports by providing on-going performance feedback through regular one-on-one discussions, employee recognition, and disciplinary action (when necessary). Identifies training and development activities for direct reports to improve current and develop new skills.
- Exhibits a growth mindset in leadership and cross-departmental relationship building with an emphasis on learning, understanding and self/employee development.
Education
Experience
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience required. In lieu of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 11 years may be considered.

Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
