Summary
We are seeking a Principal Data Analyst to lead the enablement of enterprise data governance, metadata management, data quality enablement, and information modeling for internal SRP business stakeholders. In this highly visible role, you will own and evolve the Information Intelligence Platform and partner across architecture, integration, analytics, and business teams to ensure enterprise data is trusted, well‑governed, and ready to drive insights at scale. This will be an ideal role for a senior data professional who combines strong technical depth with the ability to influence, lead, and modernize data governance across a large organization.
What You'll Do
Data Governance & Platform Leadership
- Own the configuration, administration, and optimization of enterprise data management platforms, including Collibra (Data Intelligence, Data Quality, and Metamodel) and Erwin/Quest Data Modeler.
- Serve as a trusted subject matter expert advising major initiatives and SRP system implementations.
- Ensure alignment with data governance policies, information principles, and data privacy and security standards.
- Support and grow the Data Stewardship Program through enablement, mentoring, and best‑practice guidance.
Metadata, Quality & Information Services
- Lead metadata management, data cataloging, data quality, data modeling, and data sharing enablement services.
- Design and evolve Collibra metamodels aligned with enterprise data architecture.
- Build and enhance governance workflows, automations, and integrations that scale with business needs.
Architecture, Integration & Analytics Collaboration
- Partner closely with Data Architects to align enterprise data architecture and governance tooling.
- Collaborate and facilitate with cross-functional teams on APIs, connectors, and system integrations.
- Enable and optimize integrations between Collibra and analytics and data platforms, including Snowflake, PowerBI, Dataiku.
Program Leadership & Influence
- Lead or contribute to enterprise‑level, cross‑functional initiatives supporting application roadmaps and information management programs.
- Embed governance and metadata considerations early in solution design and delivery lifecycles.
Communication & Enablement
- Develop clear, high‑quality standards, documentation, and governance materials.
- Communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders, governance councils, and leadership.
- Provide coaching and technical leadership to elevate enterprise data governance maturity.
Education
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience required. In lieu of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 14 years may be considered.
- Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Data Governance preferred.

- Excellent communication skills and comfort operating at both strategic and technical levels
What It Takes to Succeed

- Hands‑on expertise in implementing enterprise Data Governance, including data cataloging, metadata management, data quality, and data modeling.
- Proven technical experience administering enterprise data governance and management tools, including Collibra Data Catalog, Collibra Data Quality, lineage, and impact analysis, Erwin, and Enterprise Architect/Sparx.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Ability to communicate effectively with executives and staff using clear, non‑technical language while demonstrating professionalism and diplomacy.
- Strong service orientation with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across business and technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, manage milestones, and facilitate practical, business‑focused solutions.

Testing and Certifications
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
