Summary
We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a strong technical resource responsible for designing, developing, and implementing SAP applications using ABAP programming language. This role involves collaborating with functional analysts and end-users to understand requirements, creating technical specifications, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions. The SAP ABAP Developer will also provide support for existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance to meet business needs. The work will be done in the core ECC environment concentrating on the SD and FI modules as well as a future S/4 environment with a new Customer Experience platform and SAP’s new Smart Energy Water (SEW) solution.
This is a highly visible role and requires someone with excellent communication skills who can work with the team members both onsite and remote.
What You'll Do

- As a member of the SAP Development team, you will operate with minimal supervision, taking on a range of responsibilities
- The primary focus will be on planning and executing ABAP programming, designing, testing, and debugging tasks associated with SAP modules per business requirements and specifications
- The team member shall be able to demonstrate leadership skills while collaboratively working with rest of the team
- Workload Planning: Oversee and lead the planning phase of SAP projects, including gathering requirements, setting timelines, allocating resources, and defining project scope
- Demonstrate Leadership: Collaborate and work with the team of SAP ABAP/HANA/Fiori developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support as necessary
- Code Reviews: Perform regular code reviews to ensure high-quality work and adherence to coding standards
- Documentation: Document system configurations, design decisions, and technical solutions for future reference and knowledge sharing
- Training: Train and mentor junior SAP developers and other IT staff on SAP systems, coding practices, and project procedures
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing SAP systems and processes
- Risk Assessment: Assess and mitigate risks associated with SAP development and implementation
- Building HANA Views (Attribute, Analytical & Calc Views)
- Develop and maintain JS-backend services (HANA XS, Node.js)
What It Takes To Succeed

- Programming experience related to reporting, dialog transactions, enhancements, SAPscript, Java, JavaScript, Smart Forms, User Exits, Web Dynpro, Fiori, and ALE
- Experience developing in S/4 HANA with ABAP/4 using HANA Studio or WebIDE
- Develop backend web-services and RESTful API's (Node.js, OData)
- SAP HANA Technical Concepts and Architecture
- Design, development experience of SAP UI5 applications

- 4 or more years as a developer in SAP applications API Development
- 4 or more years with Fiori experience
- Technical expertise with reporting, RFC's, BAPI's
- ABAP Proxies, ALE Configuration, RFC, IDOCs, JMS adapters, SOAP, Web Services, Odata Services
- Understanding of OpenText xECM for SAP
- Understanding of VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) by OpenText
- Understanding of ABAP OO and the ABAP Managed Database Procedures

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Functional experience with SD and FI is a plus
- Experience with Vertex and its ABAP code is a plus
Experience
The ideal candidate will be at the mid-career level:
• For a Level 2 (Journey), a minimum of two years of experience to four years related experience is required (if no degree, six-eight years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling six-eight years).

Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
