Summary

Architect content plans for delivery via SRP s paid, earned, owned and shared channels that deliver against program/ project objectives. This team leads efforts that serve to translate SRP s brand platform and vision into strategic communications while creating compelling, relevant, and effective content across all vehicles and platforms. This team collaborates heavily with Creative Services, Community Outreach, and Media Relations teams to develop brand voice and tone and messaging consistency throughout all customer and community experiences.

What You'll Do

  • Employ deep expertise and in-depth understanding of integrated, cross-vehicle marketing and communications planning to craft executional plans and oversee that deliver against program/project objectives.
  • Oversee collaborative content development effort including creation of messaging hierarchy and journeys, content and communications plans, channel distribution and media plans, and strong content/ creative briefs.
  • Translate SRP brand platform and overall customer and community segment strategies into strategic communications messages, engaging content and digital/traditional experiences that are relevant for the public and builds the SRP brand.
  • Develop and govern SRP’s overarching omni-channel editorial calendar and manage related media/ advertising mix.
  • Demonstrate clear priorities, smart sequencing/timing while balancing near-term and longer-term goals/needs.
  • Manage, monitor and adapt / adjust content plans proactively and in real-time based on learning, sentiment, changes in context and other factors.
  • Manage relationship with external partners (agency, sponsorships, strategic partnerships) to achieve advertising and marketing goals within budget and on deadline. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education

A bachelor's degree relevant to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.

Experience

This position may be filled at one of three levels outlined below, based on the candidate’s relevant education, experience, or a combination of both that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and competencies. Level I — Associate: In lieu of a degree, 4 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 4 years may be considered. Level 2 – Journey: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required. In lieu of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 6 years may be considered. Level 3 – Senior: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required. In lieu of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 9 years may be considered. Eligibility for advancement (progression) to the next level in the same role is based on overall job performance, mastery of all functional responsibilities, and time in position, as assessed by the supervisor.

Additional Requirements and Qualifications

  • Exhibit strong project management skills including budget planning and resource management.
  • Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to: write clearly, succinctly and correctly; write convincingly in an engaging and expressive manner; avoid unnecessary use of jargon or complicated language and; write in a well-structured and logical way.
  • Apply integrated marketing, content marketing and content strategy best practices.
  • Knowledge of evolving industry market, economic & environmental factors.
  • Creative and innovative in employing marketing and communcations strategies.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
