Summary

The Senior Data Analyst will be working in a dynamic environment/team, requiring an individual who can learn quickly and adapt to change in support of projects and initiatives of critical systems here at SRP.  The team is made up of incredibly skilled and experienced people focused on delivering quality solutions in a highly collaborative environment.

 

The desired candidate will have a strong background in business analysis practices, project management fundamentals and data management experience/knowledge, as well as a desire to become part of a team-oriented experience.

What You'll Do

  • Manage multiple data services and continue to expand knowledge of data practices, services and offerings.
  • Work with team members to proactively identify issues/risks and contribute to solutions
  • Mentor and coach project team members
  • Work with the business to facilitate project meetings
  • Develop project plans and execute on plans
  • Catalog metadata utilizing the metamodel, as well as being able to instruct others on the team with best practices, standards and performing the data catalog services to meet our business expectations and needs. 
  • Collaborate with Data Governance and other partners around data management/information management policies, standards, data principles, etc. such as Integration Services, Analytics Center of Excellence and business area data analytics teams.
  • Implementation cataloging, data, data quality services and the variety of assessments we provide to enable the business to utilize the metadata in their day-to-day work.

  • Power BI and other reporting capabilities

  • Ten Steps to Quality Data(TM) - full understanding, ability to implement and utilize in all work efforts

Experience

We are targeting a sr. level candidate:

 

 • For a Level 3 (Senior), a minimum of five years of related experience is required (if no degree, nine years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling nine years).

 

Bachelor's degree in data management, data governance, information systems is preferred.

Education

A bachelor’s degree related to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
