Summary

SRP's Communication Vehicles & Platforms team is looking for an experienced Senor Digital Strategist specializing in omnichannel marketing and communication journeys. This team member will partner with other Digital Strategists in owning the email and direct mail channel strategy and execution for SRP's residential and business customers. The ideal candidate will have experience managing high-volume email/direct mail programs, building automated omnichannel journeys, performance analysis, creating personalized/dynamic email/direct mail campaigns, and A/B testing. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help connect customers and the community with one of the largest public power and water utilities in the U.S.

What You'll Do

  • Employ deep expertise and in-depth understanding of owned channels, email and direct mail, and provide strategic direction to achieve continuous improvement in cross-channel communications and marketing. 
  • Build, QA and deploy email campaigns and automated customer journeys in the Zeta Marketing Platform.
  • Build QA and deploy email campaigns using ClickDimensions for commercial customers. 
  • Govern digital communications by using tools and metrics to curate a data-informed approach and analyze performance data to measure success.
  • Make data-driven adjustments to optimize performance and achieve marketing and communications objectives.
  • Work with creative teams to create engaging experiences via email and direct mail. 
  • Participate in tactical planning sessions, setting the high-level tactical strategy for email and direct mail. 
  • Establish editorial calendars and messaging strategies while collaborating with content strategists to ensure holistic campaigns across channels. 
  • Manage, monitor and adjust content proactively and in real-time based on A/B test results, learning, sentiment, changes in context and other factors. 
  • Ensure channel-specific compliance and accessibility. 
  • Participate in larger cross-functional projects to further evolve our email and direct mail process and technology. Monitor industry trends and best practices to stay ahead of the curve and continuously improve marketing efforts.
  • Assist user experience designers in making web content updates as required. 

What It Takes To Succeed

  • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a passion for marketing innovation.
  • Experienced at determining KPI's for owned channels, measuring campaign performance and adjusting based on data insights.
  • Exhibit strong project management technical skills in vehicle or platform of expertise (direct mail, email, and web) and/or omni-channel marketing. 
  • Ability to establish priorities, while balancing near-term and longer-term goals/needs and to monitor results adjusting tactics as necessary. 
  • Hands-on experience with content management systems as well as basic HTML and CSS. 
  • Proficiency in marketing automation technology. 
  • Knowledge of email marketing and web best practices, UX and ADA compliance. 
  • Expertise creating and implementing strategic A/B testing. 
  • Experience measuring, monitoring and reporting on campaign results. 
  • Strong time management and project management skills to handle high volume of complex work on time and within budget. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to: write clearly, succinctly and correctly; write convincingly in an engaging and expressive manner; avoid unnecessary use of jargon or complicated language and write in a well-structured and logical way.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of technical online marketing or communications, advertising or integrated marketing experience required.

Promotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years experience at Level 1 and demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor. Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of 3 years experience at Level 2, is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.

Education

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona. We are taking steps to protect the health and well-being of all team members, and by following a number of health and safety protocols, to reduce the risk of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
