Summary

Manages the development and design of transmission and distribution substation facilities. Provides guidance for engineering, design and drafting support for the transmission and distribution system. Responsible for developing a premier power system meeting the needs of residential, commercial, industrial and generation interconnection customers.

What You'll Do

Directs the engineering, design and construction of the electric system
Develops long and short range plans for the system design department, including manpower requirements and scheduling for multiple, capital budget projects.
Selects, trains, develops, motivates and evaluates department employees.
Contract development and control of contracted projects and material procurement.
Provide project management for major electric system projects.
Develop and control capital and O&M budget.

Experience

Minimum of 8 years cumulative and progressive professional experience. Professional registration preferred for activities such as public hearings.

Education

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
