Summary

SRP seeks a Project Manager to provide project coordination and execution support for activities related to site evaluation, technology down-selection, and permit/licensing application development for potential future nuclear generation projects. This role is essential to establishing advanced nuclear as an option for long-term strategic resource needs, ensuring that complex, multi-disciplinary workstreams progress on schedule and within scope. The position requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, strong collaboration across SRP’s matrixed teams, and the ability to keep stakeholders aligned and accountable.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including Gantt charts, milestones, and critical path analysis for nuclear development activities.
  • Coordinate meetings and facilitate communication among SRP’s matrixed teams (transmission, water, land, environmental, regulatory, finance, and others) and external stakeholders.
  • Track progress and ensure deliverables are completed on time and within scope; proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Support the overall Project Director by providing timely updates, preparing status reports, and escalating issues as needed.
  • Manage documentation and workflow, ensuring version control and accessibility for all project participants.
  • Develop and implement project management processes and tools to improve efficiency and transparency.
  • Collaborate with consultants and contractors, monitoring performance and ensuring alignment with SRP’s objectives.
  • Facilitate cross-functional integration, ensuring technical, regulatory, and strategic considerations are reflected in project plans.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for internal governance and external stakeholders.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

What It Takes To Succeed

  • Strong ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Expertise in project management tools and techniques, including Gantt charts, scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), and risk management.
  • Proven ability to coordinate across diverse organizational groups and maintain accountability in a matrixed environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to keep teams aligned and motivated.
  • Ability to anticipate challenges and proactively resolve issues to maintain schedule integrity.
  • Occasional travel for meetings, training, and conferences.

Experience

• For a senior level, a minimum of five years of related experience plus a bachelor's degree is required. (If no degree, nine years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling nine years.)

  • 5–10 years of experience in project management, preferably in the energy or infrastructure sector.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling tools and collaboration platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
  • PMP certification or equivalent.
  • Experience in utility-scale projects or regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with nuclear industry processes or large capital project development.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Education

A bachelor’s degree related to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
