Summary
The Senior Spanish Copywriter is responsible for a variety of duties surrounding the translation and transcreation of engaging and memorable copy for ad campaigns and marketing materials aimed at SRP's Spanish-speaking customers and community members. In addition to translating the necessary English copy to Spanish, this role will provide valuable creative input and cultural insights that will help drive SRP's Spanish-language external marketing campaigns into the future. This role will also collaborate closely with and provide exceptional support to SRP's contract Spanish copywriters/copyeditors, as well as serving as SRP's main Spanish-language support to SRP departments outside of Creative Services.
Together with our Creative Services and Copywriting team, the Spanish Copywriter pushes the boundaries of creative excellence, while ensuring consistent use of SRP's voice and tone across campaigns and platforms.

What You'll Do
- Gain a deep understanding of SRP's products, services and target audiences.
- Collaborate with designers, directors and digital strategists to develop clear and compelling campaigns and marketing materials that drive business success.
- Play an integral role in developing strategic and engaging creative concepts.
- Develop breakthrough Spanish copy that brings strong ideas to life across all media channels (TV, radio, print, web, email, etc.).
- Transform and translate technical subject matter into copy that educates, delights and engages audiences.
- Present creative to internal partners.
- Work with other copywriters to ensure voice and tone is consistent across all external SRP campaigns, communications and platforms.
- Write customer and employee communications, as needed, in a clear and concise manner.
- Carefully review copy for concise and appropriate translation, spelling, grammar, punctuation, readability, voice and tone.
- Play an integral role in helping develop our Spanish glossary and style guide.
- Serve as a bilingual (English and Spanish) copywriter on select projects, particularly projects created for SRP's Hispanic audience.
- Serve as a key point person for SRP's internal business partners who may seek guidance on developing or updating Spanish communications.
- Deliver copy on time.

What It Takes To Succeed
- Strong conceptual and strategic thinker with a passion for the written word and creative process.
- Exceptional writing skills spanning traditional media (TV, radio and print) and digital media (web content, banner ads, email, etc.).
- Takes a customer-centric approach to writing; considers readability and usability. Experience with UX writing a plus.
- Understands how to craft a story. Gets irony and clever wordplay. Can spot corny puns and poor marketing language.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (master of spelling, grammar and punctuation).
- Has experience working with cross-functional teams. Would enjoy and contribute to a creative and collaborative team environment.
- Experience working with agency partners.
- Exceptional presentation skills.
- Prior experience developing, writing and translating copy for creative advertising campaigns.
Experience
A minimum of five years of related experience is required (if no degree, nine years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling nine years).
Education
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
