Summary
The Test Automation Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable automated testing solutions. This includes creating, maintaining, and enhancing automation frameworks; developing automated test scripts for new and existing features; and defining effective automation strategies and reusable test data. The role focuses on developing automated test scripts, analyzing results, and delivering clear reports to support quality-driven decision making.
What You'll Do
We are looking for a Test Automation Developer with solid experience with Java/Selenium and Web automation frameworks to join our team. As a member of the team, you will collaborate closely with both developers and business analysts/architects to understand application features, design, and create robust/comprehensive tests. We look for well-rounded candidates with solid analytical skills, an enthusiasm for taking ownership of features, a strong commitment to quality, and the ability to work closely and communicate effectively. Commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and product quality is essential.
As a Test Automation Developer, you will be responsible for devising and executing an effective test strategy with focus on automation. You will be partnering with various functions in understanding technical and business needs, helping devise suitable test frameworks and creating scalable test solutions through automation.
Job Responsibilities
- Implement, maintain, and enhance test automation frameworks and methodologies for scalable end-to-end testing.
- Apply test design principles to build effective, maintainable automated test cases
- Design, execute, and automate API Testing
- Design, test, and deploy effective test automation solutions that improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Author automation test strategies, test cases, and/or test scripts as required to validate solutions.
- Perform defect management by documenting results, analyzing failures, and tracking defects through resolution.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure testability and quality standard
- Review and refactor existing automation code to improve maintainability and scalability
- Ensure full traceability between requirements, test scripts, execution results, and defects
- Apply strong knowledge of automation concepts, tools, and best practices to continuously improve test processes
- Develop scripts that run automated testing functions reliably and integrate into continuous testing pipelines
- Create and deliver comprehensive automation metric reports, covering execution trends, coverage, and defect detection to provide project teams and stakeholders with transparent visibility into automation health and to support informed decision-making
- Mentor team members by guiding them on automation best practices, coding standards, and quality-focused testing techniques.

Additional Requirements and Qualifications
- 5+ years in Quality Assurance with 4+ years focused on test automation
- Experience with automation tools such as Tricentis Tosca and Selenium
- Working knowledge of different testing methodologies
- Mathematical aptitude and strong critical thinking skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Self-development skills to keep up to date with fast-changing trends
- Experience with programming languages, such as C# and Java
- Experience with test data management tools
- Hands-on experience integrating automated testing int CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Agile and Scrum
- Technical Skills – Require programming skills to write computer code and scripts in common computer languages, such as C# or Java
- Analytical skills – Analytically examine bug reports, prioritize necessary tests, and streamline application functions through automated testing processes.
- Attention to detail – Essential for thoroughly testing web and mobile applications, identifying improvement opportunities, and isolating defects with accuracy and precision.
- Communication skills – Strong verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with the project team and create automation testing scripts and written reports showing errors.
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
